Art Residency
From the day we opened our doors on January 17th 2025, we’ve dedicated the walls of our spacious dining room to emerging artists. With each new seasonal menu, we invite a young artist to transform our space with their work—creating an ever-evolving gallery that reflects fresh perspectives and creative voices. The Art Residency at our studio is a celebration of rising talent, offering guests a feast for the eyes alongside every meal.

Stok La Rock

Stok La Rock
09-JAN - 28-MAR-2026
Stok La Rock is the artistic pseudonym of Benjamin Auch (b. 1981), an artist living and working in Hamburg. His creative journey began in the early 1990s through graffiti and breakdance, where an early fascination with urban culture evolved into a lasting passion for movement, expression, and visual language.
Extensive travels across India, Russia, Africa, and Korea in the early 2000s broadened his artistic perspective, as he engaged with local creative communities and led workshops on urban art forms. A formative period in Los Angeles later deepened his interest in abstraction, shaping the energetic and expressive approach that defines his work today. Blending influences from street culture with contemporary abstract painting, Stok La Rock’s practice explores art as an open dialogue between cities, cultures, and personal experience.

Gosia Kulik
25-SEP - 31-DEC-2025
Gosia Kulik (b. 1985) is a painter, illustrator, and graphic novelist based in Wrocław (Breslau), Poland. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, her work combines painting and drawing with an anthropologist’s eye, transforming notes, texts, and observations into narrative sequences and micro-stories. She has published award-winning graphic novels and picture books and has received recognition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair as well as numerous prizes in Poland.
At Criss Studio, she presents a cycle of paintings depicting the iconic Market Hall of Wrocław (Breslau)—a place with special meaning, as it was where chefs Mateusz and Jahmarley once sourced produce for their restaurant and projects before moving to Portugal. Her works therefore carry not only cultural resonance but also a personal connection to the studio itself.

Anna Karetnikova
03-JUL - 20-SEP-2025
Anna Karetnikova is a freelance illustrator and visual artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Her work is defined by a bold, vibrant aesthetic that weaves narrative elements into a striking visual language. Blending surrealism with a contemporary illustrative style, her pieces feature stylized figures, rich color palettes, and intricate patterns. The exaggerated forms and expressive details lend her subjects a distinctive, almost otherworldly presence.

Valentin Elias Renner
17-JAN - 31-MAY-2025
Valentin Elias Renner is a 25-year-old artist originally from Ulm, in southern Germany, now based in Hamburg. He works primarily with string art, creating intricate, large-scale pieces using thread and nails on wood. Each artwork is the result of thousands of precise steps, blending meticulous order with elements of visual chaos. His work explores depth, rhythm, and perception, drawing viewers in through the mesmerizing moiré effect that emerges when the patterns interact. The result is a multi-dimensional viewing experience—at once structured and fluid—that invites the observer to pause and look deeper.
