We are very happy to share a special recognition: Criss Studio has been named “Discovery of the Year” in the Falstaff Restaurant & Gasthausguide Germany 2026.


For us, this recognition marks a very meaningful moment — not only because it comes from one of the most respected gourmet publications in the German-speaking world, but because it reaches us so early in our story.


Criss Studio was born from a deeply personal idea: a restaurant where Polish and Jamaican cuisines are not treated as opposites, but understood as one shared language. A kitchen shaped by fermentation and heat, depth and freshness, memory and experiment. A kitchen that comes from two biographies — while still searching for something new.



That Falstaff highlights this courage, individuality and connection between our culinary roots means a great deal to us.

Since opening, we have been working to create a restaurant that is not only technically precise, but full of personality. A place where taste matters more than decoration. Where stories are not simply explanations, but part of the experience. Where a menu does not reveal everything in advance, but unfolds step by step at the table.


We understand the title “Discovery of the Year” not as a final destination, but as confirmation: that a very personal path can become visible when followed with enough clarity and conviction.
